Aquasaurs, also knows as Triops longicaudatus are freshwater crustacea that look a little like the horseshoe crab. Having been around for millions of years they have perfected the art of survival.

The eggs can survive in a dried up state for up to 20 years, and can hatch quickly to make the most of rainfall causing puddles and ponds.

Given proper care, Aquasaurs can grow up to 2 inches long, including its tail, and live for up to 90 days. You'll get all the kit you need to hatch your own Aquasaurs, you just need to add some bottled water and some loving care and attention.

Fascinating to watch, Aquasaurs are big enough to be really eye-catching as they swim around their tank.
